The City of Broussard, Louisiana is situated 6 miles southeast of Lafayette and is located on the Highway 90 corridor with easy access to Interstate 10.  There are frequent daily flights into Lafayette Regional Airport from Houston, Memphis and Atlanta. 

Broussard is located in the parishes of Lafayette and St. Martin.  The area was originally a farming and bedroom community but within the last 25 years businesses have either opened or relocated to the area.  The City has diversified into the industrial, service, and retail sectors of the economy including oilfield service and manufacturing companies. The Louisiana and Texas coast are the center of the oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico.
