The City of Broussard has closed on 131 acres to be dedicated to a new regional recreational park facility. The property is located at 701 St. Nazaire Rd, past WalMart and Home Depot, and was purchased from Billeaud and St. Julien, Inc for $2,764,537.
The state-of-the-art $27 million dollar park has officially opened July 1, 2017. The park is expected to create an expansion of hotels and restaurants in the area to cater to the competitive soccer and baseball tournaments expected to be played at the new facility on a multi-state level.
